Finance: Financial/Data Analyst
Operations Financial Analyst-North America - IRONMAN (Tampa, FL)

General Summary

            The Operations Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting North America operations (event and non-event departments) on all budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, profitability and KPI metrics. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

1.     Support North America operations team in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts

2.     Compile budget and forecast updates/changes for North America operations on a monthly and annual basis

3.     Complete operational month end variance report and lead departmental meetings in understanding monthly variances and how they will affect future forecasts

4.     Provide development of improved event profitability reports and assist with implementation of KPI, Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reporting

5.     Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of operations

6.     Monitor operational performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected       variances

7.     Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis

8.     Assist with the development of financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives

9.     Assist with completing the monthly reporting/KPI package in a timely manner

10.  Assist and support the external audit process

11.  Support accounting with monthly event accruals, account coding’s and various ad-hoc needs

12.  Assist with the preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team

Job Requirements

 Education and work experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
  2. Minimum three (3) years accounting, finance or business related experience

 Skills and knowledge:

1.     Ability to work in a fast paced environment

2.     Ability to commit to and meet deadlines

3.     Must be hands on, able to multi-task and show proper level of time management

4.     Must present ability to be a team player and work within all departments in a professional manner

5.     Strong technology skills including expertise in Great Plains, Navision, Infor MIS, MS Office and database applications

6.     Outstanding written and oral communication skills

7.     Strong analytical and problem solving skills
