Reporting to the Manager, Global Licensing, the Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the global licensing business across all key administrative functions (product development, marketing, contractual compliance and support across financial reporting and forecasting) and looks for opportunities to drive all the different IRONMAN brands messaging through the implementation of graphic elements and creative campaigns with licensees.  The Coordinator position requires demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft programs in particular excel, one drive, illustrator, PowerPoint (or other creative programs), knowledge of the Consumer Products business, manufacturing processes/lead times, consumer marketing, licensing and/or retail product marketing. Candidate will develop, manage and/or update all administrative databases and create necessary tracking documents related to managing a global licensing business and will work closely with the Manager and Licensing Agencies for client management. The coordinator will also work directly with partners to obtain all contractual compliance material and manages all inventory (VIK, pre samples, CADS, final product samples).

Candidate will work across all product categories including fitness equipment and accessories, athlete health and nutrition, athlete healing, branded sporting goods, apparel & accessories, stationary & gift, connected devices and electronics as well as other new business opportunities.  Responsibilities also include working with a network of global, regional and local licensees in the development, distribution and growth of consumer products. This position will support Sr. Manager to activate licensee within  IRONMAN’s partner activations teams globally and ensure accurate activation of license contracts across sponsorship and merchandising activations.


  • Manages the support functions of the global consumer products business including:

    • Product development/approvals and samples coordination

    • CP Legal Contact (contract processing, tracking & documentation)

    • Safety (ILS/FAMA) regulation and Product Integrity compliance

    • Insurance compliance

    • Discount Codes, VIK, samples and inventory

    • Logos needed (co-brand mock ups and website updates)

    • Meeting Coordination (trade shows, partner summit etc.)

  • Support in development of CP business and manage relationships with our licensing/retail partners

  • Maintain product development database and ensure on-time response of licensee’s product development process across marketing and licensing team while providing innovative solutions to product development and application of our Intellectual properties.

  • Maintain licensing databases (legal, contact and financial) and provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reports regarding Licensee compliance (business plan, reporting, forecasting, ILS/FAMA, insurance certificates, sell-off etc.)

  • Obtain financial reporting and forecasting from clients and being able to work with them directly on any changes needed

  • Work with Manager and marketing to develop brand decks and graphic standards where needed

  • Assist in work with clients to develop and execute marketing programs that will promote our events, brands and licensed products

  • Assist in the development of strategies for market growth with existing and new partners, including: new channels of distribution/retail, new product segments and new markets

  • Assist in departmental projects where assigned

  • Works closely with Sr. Director and Manager to support the overall global licensing business strategy

  • Support in the development of new business opportunities and plans for the expansion of the licensed products businesses


  • Experience in Consumer Products brand development, marketing and/or business development. International experience a plus

  • Demonstrated experience in developing successful business plans and marketing/retail programs for consumer products related businesses across multiple channels including print, web, PR, television and promotions

  • Experience and knowledge of licensing, product development and retail distribution particularly in department store, sporting goods, specialty and mass channels

  • Experience in negotiating licensed business relationships and managing a network of regional agent businesses. Ability to lead development of marketing/creative projects as well as management of marketing budgets

  • Ability to build and sustain trust-based, value-added relationships internally and externally

  • Ability to work with Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Illustrator program, Trackvia experience a plus, some type of design background preferred but not required
